La Carlota City native Mark Nonoy is set to suit up for the University of Santo Tomas (UST) when they kick off this year’s campaign in the 82nd UAAP men’s basketball season next week.
“Tingin ko naman ready na ako (I think I am ready),” he said. “Excited na excited na ako na makasama yung magagaling at makalaban ko na yung magagaling din (I am very excited to join talented player and face-off against good players as well).”
Among the other rookies joining the UST squad include Soulemane Chabi Yo, Rhenz Abando, Sherwin Concepcion, Vince Cuajao, Brent Paraiso, Albert Bordeos, Miguel Pangilinan, and Ferdinand Asuncion.
“We have nine new players in the lineup but this will be a fighting team come UAAP,” said UST head coach Aldin Ayo. “We will have a much improved performance as compared to Season 81.”/ASC, WDJ
