The San Carlos City government was recently evaluated for the Seal of Good Local Governance. The seal is an incentive program by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) that recognizes and rewards local government units for “excellent service and high standards of governance.”
DILG Local Government Operation Officers Gretchen Mae D. Corrales credited the city for “very good and functional” policies on various sectors, especially on the environmental management and disaster preparedness.
Meanwhile, San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo said, “The city government always sees to it that deficiencies in any sector of governance [are] always corrected to improve the kind of services provided.”/DGB, WDJ
