The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers captured the 2019 Philippine SuperLiga (PSL) All-Filipino Conference crown last Tuesday after their 25-14, 25-16, 25-19 sweep over the Cignal HD Spikers in Game 2 of their finals series at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The win is the franchise’s fourth PSL championship.
Outside hitter Kalei Mau tallied 19 points on 17 attacks, a block, and a service ace for F2 Logistics in their victory; while Kim Kianna Dy chipped in 13 markers on nine attacks, along with four blocks; Kim Fajardo dished out a double-double with 19 excellent sets and 10 digs; and Dawn Macandili had 20 digs.
F2 Logistics showed their determination to close out the series after taking a 23-10 lead in the first set behind Fajardo, Mau, and Mary Joy Baron. Into the second set, Mau anchored the offense and turned a narrow 11-10 edge into a 23-16 lead.
Cignal added pressure in the third set, after F2 Logistics converted a 12-11 advantage into an 18-11 lead, the former went on to narrow their deficit to 23-12; however, the match was wrapped up after Desiree Cheng and Mau delivered crucial points./ASC, WDJ
