Lopue’s-La Salle player wins table tennis competition

Anton Andre B. Bayona, a University of St. La Salle-Integrated School student and member of the Lopue’s-La Salle varsity table tennis team, recently won gold in the Boy’s 12-Under division of the Inter-scholastic Regional Table Tennis Tournament , an event of the recent Iloilo Charter Day observance over the weekend in the city’s La Paz district.
Leading up to the finals, the Bacolod City-based athlete swept his opponents and defeated Central Philippine University’s Joseph Christian Vito to take the title.
While most of the Iloilo City Charter Day events have concluded, there are still two responsible parenthood and family planning programs scheduled today in Barangay Lopez Jaena, located in the city’s Jaro district, and at the San Isidro Heath Center in the city’s La Paz district; while a barangay rescue event is set to take place tomorrow.
In terms of sports, the event also hosted a volleyball tournament, basketball tournament, fun run, lawn tennis competition, and skateboarding program./WDJ
