Bacolodnon athlete wins more medals

After earlier winning gold in the girls’ 100-meter dash at the ongoing 2019 Batang Pinoy national finals, Bacolod Tay Tung High School athlete Krisha Dedoyco Aguillon yesterday captured silver in the girls’ 200-meter dash at the Ramon V. Mitra, Jr. Sports Complex in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
After finishing the race in 26.9 seconds, she was pipped by Calamba City’s Erica Marie Ruto, who came in at 26.1 seconds.
Other local winners arose in the boys’ 400-meter dash with Victorias City’s Renzo Catulay winning silver and Kenth John Abilay of Bayawan City taking bronze. Meanwhile, Joycie Santia, representing Negros Occidental, won silver in the girls’ 3,000-meter run; and Bacolod City’s Athena Rose Besana captured bronze in the girls’ 400-meter hurdles.
