Tay Tung runner takes gold

Bacolod Tay Tung High School athlete Krisha Dedoyco Aguillon captured gold at the ongoing 2019 Batang Pinoy national finals in the girls’ 100-meter dash yesterday at the Ramon V. Mitra, Jr. Sports Complex in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
“I am thankful to win this event,” she said. “The hard work and practices have paid off.”
The Bacolod City-native hopes to pick up more medals as she competes in the 200-meter dash, 4×100 meter relay, and 4×400 meter mixed relay events.
“I will do my best to win my other events, too,” Aguillon added.
In other competition, Tay Tung scored a 79-75 win over Makati in boys’ basketball, while St. John’s Institute defeated Davao in girls’ volleyball and Iloilo fell to Davao del Norte./ASC, WDJ
