The Starkey Hearing Foundation (SHF), an organization committed to providing the sense of hearing to the hearing-impaired around the world, vowed to provide 1,000 hearing aids for free in Bacolod City during a hearing mission from November 10 to 11.
The foundation previously visited Bacolod City in 2015.
SHF-Philippines Country Coordinator Aisa Rafanan and Hearing Care Coordinator Lovella Bastillada were part of a recent courtesy visit to the Bacolod City Government Center, where they presented their organization and the various projects they undertake.
The foundation, established in 1984 in the United States, has provided hearing aids to individuals in over 100 countries.
“Starkey Hearing Foundation’s mission is to give the gift of hearing to those in need, empowering them to achieve their potential,” the organization noted on their website. “By collaborating with governments, non-government organizations, and health leaders, our goal is to make hearing healthcare services more accessible for people around the world.”/WDJ
