The Columbian Dyip traded Russel Escoto and Jerramy King to NorthPort Batang Pier in exchange for Lervin Flores, Joseph Gabayni, and Juan Miguel Tiongson in a five-player deal that is still pending PBA Commissioner’s Office approval.
Escoto had reportedly requested the trade after failing to log substantial minutes in his three years with the squad, while King also purportedly wanted out but was hoping for a move to Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
The two will add some experience to the fairly fresh Batang Pier roster.
Meanwhile, Tiongson underwent his second trade in the span of a few days after earlier being sent from the NLEX Road Warriors to Batang Pier last Tuesday./ASC, WDJ
