Filipino boxer Prince Albert Pagara cruised to a first round stoppage win over Thai opponent Ratchanon Sawangsoda during “Pinoy Pride 46” over the weekend at the Ormoc City Superdome in Leyte.
The Maasin City-native dropped Sawangsoda four times at the onset of the opening round prompting the Thai challenger’s camp to surrender at the 2:53 mark.
With the victory, Pagara improved to a 32-1-0 win-loss-draw record with 23 KO wins; while Sawangsoda fell to a 12-4-0 record with 12 stoppage victories.
“Prince has regain his old form and will soon be fighting for world title against,” said trainer Edito Villamor.
He added, Pagara will next fight a title eliminator in order to become the mandatory challenger for a world title./ASC, WDJ
