Ceres-Negros FC is set to take on Mendiola FC tonight in their third 2019 Philippines Football League (PFL) meeting at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, Batangas. The Bacolod City-based club dominated both of their previous matches, winning 4-0 and 5-2.
In light of their most recent win, a 3-0 victory over Philippine Air Force FC, Ceres FC defender Súper said they need to keep up the momentum.
“We need to continue to play like that until the end,” he noted.
Earlier in the day, Kaya FC-Iloilo faces Global Makati FC.
The two Western Visayas clubs currently lead the PFL with Ceres FC leading on 34 points, followed by the Iloilo-based club with 28 points.
“[Kaya FC] are also winning,” Súper added. “Having a six point difference, we need to continue and keep our separation.”/ASC, WDJ
