UST takes second place in NBA tournament

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) finished second at the recent NBA 5v5 tournament in Shanghai, China after losing 86-67 to the Zhongtian Qilin Society.
UST kept pace with Zhongtian until midway into the fourth period. Down by 10 points, UST managed to narrow the gap to 62-55 with four minutes left in the game. Zhongtian, however, went on a 23-10 scoring run as they cruised to their largest lead of 21 points.
Despite the loss, Soulemane Chabi Yo finished with a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds, while Negrense players Mark Nonoy added 12 points and Rhenz Abando chipped in 10 markers./ASC, WDJ
