The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippines Eagles held their chartering and induction ceremony for Bacolod Eagles Club officers and members earlier this month.
The organization, which vows to “deliver social change, help, and serve poor communities,” is led by Reynee G. Talisay.
“This is our chance to share the blessings we received from above,” he said. “You know all these material things are temporary but sharing these to the least fortunate people while we still have the chance is very rewarding and immeasurable.”
“We don’t want to just give a person a fish and feed him for a day,” the organization official added. “We want to teach them how to fish so that we can feed them for life.”
Talisay noted the diverse membership, noting their organization included doctors, priests, accountants, military officers, engineers, among other professions.
Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer served as guest of honor and addressed the event./EC, WDJ
