Violations include public urination

Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas recently issued an executive order reestablishing sanitation officer posts as a means of tamping down on littering.
Approximately 20 officers will conduct patrols across the city and issue tickets to individuals found in violation of the city’s anti-littering ordinance.
According to the policy, violations include littering; urinating, defecating, or spitting in public places; painting or posting graffiti and vandalism; and failure to maintain cleanliness of premises.
Violators face a P500 penalty on the first offense, P750 on the second, and P1,000 on the third./WDJ
