Tajanlangit: The festival is a ‘player on the world stage’

According to Silver MassKara Festival Organization (SMFO) festival director Eli Tajanlangit, this year’s MassKara Festival will launch next month, September 8, in order to unveil a “major art installation,” which he described as “something like memorial to the festival.”
“We will also unveil the logo that will capture the 40 years of the MassKara Festival,” he added.
Tajanlangit also said they plan on elevating this year’s festivities, claiming, “It is now a player on the world stage.”
“Our major effort this year is to level up the festival as we want it to bring to another level,” he said. “The MassKara Queen will be unlike other MassKara queens, we are putting a lot of work into production design and into the training of the 10 candidates.”
The formal opening of the annual festival is scheduled for October 7 with festivities running until October 28./DGB, WDJ
