Following their 5-0 win over Stallion Laguna FC in the 2019 Philippines Football League last week, the Negrense club continued their undefeated streak with a 3-0 win over Philippine Air Force FC last Saturday at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, Batangas. In their previous meeting, Ceres FC put in a dominating 12-0 win.
Ceres defender Súper scored the first goal of the match in the 15th minute.
“I wanted to score for a long time already because I did not score for almost a year,” he said after the match. “I’m always happy to help the team and I will continue to do my best on the pitch.”
Midfielder Dylan de Bruycker doubled the lead in the 34th minute as the third goal was slotted in by striker Robert Lopez Mendy in the 59th.
Ceres’ latest signing, midfielder James Younghusband, logged some time on the pitch after he was subbed-in in the second half.
In the other match, Global Makati FC and Green Archers United played to a 1-1 draw./ASC, WDJ
