The Philippine Cycling Federation (Philcycling) officially cleared Ilongga mountain biker Ariana Dormitorio to compete in a test event for the upcoming 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. Once the 2020 Summer Games commence, mountain biking events are expected to take place at the Izu Mountain Bike Course.
In a recent radio interview, Philcycling Vice President Boying Rodriguez said she would be competing alongside fellow cyclists Nino Surban and Daniel Caluag.
“The test event will also be a huge tournament for Dormitorio to earn addition UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) points for, at least, a wild card or universality spot in next year’s Olympics,” he added. “I hope that Dormitorio will perform well in the test event.”
