A Moises Padilla barangay kagawad was killed yesterday after he was gunned down by two unidentified men.
Police identified the fatality 48-year-old Raul Fat, a barangay kagawad for the town’s Barangay Macagahay.
Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director, Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, said, based on initial investigations by municipal police, Fat was inside the local barangay hall when two unidentified men approached him and opened fire, killing him on the spot.
Baleros said he is waiting for a sworn statement from witnesses as there are claims the suspects are New People’s Army members.
Moises Padilla municipal police are now investigating the incident./DGB, WDJ
