The Negros First Animal Hub, which is located inside the Panaad Park and Stadium, has been formally turned over to provincial government. Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said the facility was donated by the project’s contractor, Eva Resoor.
The provincial board is currently reviewing the governor’s endorsement to approve and sign the deed of donation.
Last October, Resoor was suspended by the provincial government from participating in any provincial government projects for six months to one year after she was unable to indicate who gave permission to construct the facility.
The P4 million facility became controversial after I Watch Negros Occidental Inc. found the construction project had not gone through a bidding process.
The facility includes animal pens with rails, a drainage system, auctioneer’s bleachers, and an administration building./DGB, WDJ
