Kaya FC-Iloilo escaped with a 1-0 win over Green Archers United yesterday in the 2019 Philippines Football League with striker Jordan Mintah scoring the decisive goal in the 88th minute at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, Batangas.
Earlier in the match, Mintah missed two chances, while Negrense midfielder Jayson Panhay was unsuccessful with a penalty kick.
Defender Masanari Omura and forward Jovin Bedic were also unsuccessful in their attempts for the Iloilo City-based side.
Green Archers United nearly scored an equalizer shortly after Mintah’s goal but Kaya keeper Nathanael Villanueva managed to deflect the attempt./ASC, WDJ
