The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) recently signed a memorandum of agreement with Japanese institution, Ibaraki Christian University (IC), establishing a study abroad program between the two schools.
According to the memorandum, the primary purpose of the program will be to assist IC students improve their English language abilities, with five students currently enrolled in an English as a Second Language program.
The agreement was signed last Wednesday at the UNO-R Presidents’ Hall between IC President Hiroshi Shoji and UNO-R president, Rev. Fr. Don H. Besana.
Also present for the event were students from South Korea’s Dong-a University, who are currently attending a Teaching English for Students of Other Languages seminar; Cho Kyoung-pill and Marah Yusay of the Jason English Language School; among others,/WDJ
