Joint operatives from Bacolod City Police Office Police Station 7 (PS7) and the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-6 seized approximately 200 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.8 million following a Thursday night buy-bust in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City.
The suspect was identified as 18-year-old Khalid Diacat, a native of Lanao del Sur but currently residing in the city’s Barangay 30.
PS7 commander, Police Major Sherlock Gabana, said the transaction took place around 8:30 p.m., where police recovered eight sachets of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money from the suspect.
Diacat had been under surveillance for three days prior to the operation.
Gabana said authorities are checking if the suspect has  family or relatives in Bacolod City, noting, the suspect would usually go in and out of the city.
Diacat is considered a high-value target considering the huge recovery of illegal drugs from his possession, he added.
The suspect faces charges for the sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs./DGB, WDJ
