After earlier appealing for an end to the conflict within Vallacar Transit Inc. (VTI), parent company of the Ceres bus liner, Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson issued a statement calling for the Yanson family, who operate VTI, to “unite and settle differences.”
“Despite what was said and done, it is still not too late for everyone to forgive and work with each other,” he said.
The governor said a resolution is necessary to “save the company,” calling it a “corporation vested with public interest.
In his earlier statement, Lacson said he hopes the court, which is currently handling the dispute, comes to a resolution.
“There should be a speedy trial to resolve the issues,” Lacson said.
He pointed out, any comments he makes would not quell a squabble between siblings and remained silent in hopes they would resolve the matter amicably./DGB, WDJ
