TNT advances to the Commissioner’s Cup finals

TNT KaTropa eliminated Barangay Ginebra San Miguel from the 2019 Honda PBA Commissioner’s Cup after taking Game 4 in their best-of-five semifinal series, 103-92, last Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Terrence Jones tallied a triple-double on 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Jeth Troy Rosario added 22 points; and Jayson Castro contributed 20 markers.
From a 32-all count after the first 12 minutes, KaTropa struggled in the second and trailed 67-58 early in the third following three free throws by Barangay Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee.
KaTropa slowly clawed their way back behind Roger Pogoy, Castro, and Jones for a 77-75 edge before extending their lead to 84-75 off conversions from Brian Heruela and Jones.
Barangay Ginebra  got as close as six in the fourth period but KaTropa answered with shots from Pogoy, Castro, and Jones and earned their largest lead of 103-86 following a reverse shot from Rosario./ASC, WDJ
