Amid reports of offers from overseas clubs, Ceres-Negros FC midfielders Bienvenido Marañon and Stephan Schröck both recently renewed with the Bacolod City-based club for the remainder of the year.
In addition, the Negrense club also reportedly finalized the signing of former Kaya FC-Iloilo striker Robert Lopez Mendy, who is expected to make his debut for the club against his previous Philippines Football League home when the two sides meet this weekend for another “Visayas Clásico.”
The 32-year-old forward had previously “agreed in principle” to join Ceres FC following his stint with Malaysia Premier League club UiTM FC. The Liga Premier Malaysia 2019 came to an end last month with UiTM FC finishing the league in fifth place.
Among other potential signings for the Negrense club include University of St. La Salle standouts Charles Baberan and Tristan Robles./ASC, WDJ
