Petron Blaze Spikers scored a 25-13, 25-10, 25-13 sweep over the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors earlier this week in the 2019 Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
Cherry Rondina unleashed 18 kills, two blocks, and two aces to finish with 22 points and seven digs for Petron; while Frances Molina added seven points; Mary Remy Palma contributed six points; and Negrense hitter Bernadeth Pons earned five markers and seven digs.
“I’m happy and satisfied with the win,” said Petron head coach Ceseal Delos Santos. “We showed another great performance but we have to work harder so we [can] sustain our momentum for our succeeding matches.”
Petron dominated at the attack zone with 38 kills while limiting Sta. Lucia to 16. The winning side also fired eight aces as Sta. Lucia failed to score a single ace and gave up 21 errors.
In the other match, F2 Logistics Cargo Movers pulled off a 25-16, 25-13, 25-9 sweep over the Marinerang Pilipina Lady Skippers./ASC, WDJ
