The Iloilo City government reports fee collections at local markets have seen a 68.8 percent increase between July 16 and last Tuesday. According to Mayor Jerry P. Treñas, he credited intensified efforts by market supervisors to collect all required fees from tenants.
“I ordered market supervisors to be diligent in their work, otherwise, they will be removed from their present posts and reassigned to other offices,” he explained.
Data provided by the city government showed P1,281,310.62 was collected between July 23 and last Tuesday, up from the P758,703 collected between July 16 and 22./WDJ
