Bacolod Tay Tung High School finished in second place at the 10th St. Ignatius Invitational Volleyball Cup, which took place over the weekend at the Lux Oriens Gym at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.
The team lost to University of San Jose-Recoletos in the finals.
“It [was] still a good run for the team,” said Tay Tung team manager Jose Montalbo. “We [opted] to send our younger players for them to gain experience facing tougher opponents.”
“We have already overachieved by the mere fact of finishing runner-up,” he added./ASC, WDJ
