Magikland, the first outdoor theme park in the Visayas, hosted select guests and members of the media to a sneak peak of the attraction located in Silay City’s Barangay Guinhalaran over the weekend. The theme park is scheduled to officially open to the public in October,
Aton Land and Leisure, Inc. which broke ground on the project in April 2017, said the rides were sourced from suppliers in Italy and across Asia.
Last year, Zamperla, an Italian company that supplies attractions for Disneyland, provided twister coaster, sky tower, disk, and family swinger rides. They also sent parts for other attractions, including a 4D theater, arcade, bumper cars, and a haunted house.
Aton Land President Reynaldo Bantug confirmed featured rides will include a “Magic Bike,” “Happy Swing,” carousel, “Crazy Surf,” “Crazy Trail,” “Disk’O,” sky tower, and a 25-meter high Ferris wheel known as “The Silay Eye.”
The attraction is said to be “Negrense-themed” and will offer a total of 12 rides, along with various attractions, play facilities, galleries, and cultural exhibitions./DGB, WDJ
