Talisay City raid yields P4.4M worth of shabu

At least P4.4 million worth of suspected shabu was confiscated yesterday after operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) raided the residence of a suspected drug target at an exclusive subdivision in Talisay City.
PDEA agents identified the subject of the operation as 57-year-old Rhodora Hamantoc and his adopted son, 25-year-old Markline Cuadra.
Also arrested at the scene are Robert Descutibo, Eul Vincent Suanico, and Ellan Vhone Escover.
Based on information provided by PDEA-Region VI agents, both Hamantoc and Cuadra were previously residents of Purok Cagaycay in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2 and had been under surveillance for weeks.
PDEA agents recovered a total of 650 grams of suspected shabu in the operation.
All of the arrested suspects are presently being held by PDEA agents, while illegal drugs charges are being prepared against them./DGB, WDJ
