The Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors ended their losing streak in the ongoing 2019 Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference yesterday with a 25-17, 25-19, 31-29 sweep over the Marinerang Pilipina Lady Skippers at the San Juan Arena.

After taking control of the first two sets, Ilonggo middle blocker Glaudine Trongcoso, who was fielded in the latter portion of the third set, was instrumental in securing the win and snapping Sta. Lucia’s 10-match losing streak.

In the third, with Sta. Lucia losing a 23-20 lead with Marinerang Pilipina’s Judith Abil and Chiara Permentilla pushing their side to a 25-24 advantage, the eventual winners managed to reach four match points before Troncoso scored her eighth point for a 30-29 lead.

The win was sealed off an Abil attack error./ASC, WDJ
