The Diwa Innovation Lab, a pop-up science lab introduced in 2017 by Diwa Learning Systems, Inc., has been traveling the country and enlightening students from grade school up through junior high school. During the 2018-2019 academic year, the exhibit made a stop at SM City Iloilo.
The exhibit is comprised of several components including a drone lab, where students learn about unmanned aerial vehicles; virtual reality lab, which transported participants to different locales using mobile devices and special goggles; robotics lab that gave students a chance to create a “robocar;” meteorology lab, where participants were exposed to weather forecasting tools; and the BatoBalani Science Investigatory Lab, which featured various experiments.
“[The] Diwa Innovation Lab aims to develop interests in science, mathematics, and engineering by giving science clubs access to new technologies,” said Diwa Vice President for Corporate and Marketing Communications Armel Espiritu.
Over 6,000 students from more than 200 schools across the Philippines have been able to experience the Diwa Innovation Lab./WDJ
