Leigh Andee Rodriguez of Bacolod City won a bronze medal in the 5th Asian Junior Poomsae Championships and 3rd Asian Cadet Poomsae Championships, which were concurrently taking place in Amman, Jordan and concluded yesterday.
Poomsae is comprised of basic attack and defense motions associated with the martial art.
Rodriguez won bronze in the cadet female bantamweight category.
Earlier, another Bacolodnon athlete, Jamie Hannah Agaloos, took home two bronze medals in the cadet event, winning in the individual female and team categories.
Meawhile, Ilongga martial artists Cindy Joy Diasnes also won two bronze medals, winning in the junior team and junior team freestyle events./ASC, WDJ
