Generika-Ayala Lifesavers scored a 23-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-20 win over Marinerang Pilipina Lady Skippers last Tuesday in the 2019 Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino at the Muntinlupa Sports Center.
Ilongga outside hitter Fiola Ceballos tallied 19 points, all coming from attacks; while Bacolodnon hitter Patty Jane Orendain earned a double-double on 16 points and 21 excellent digs.
After losing the opening set, Generika-Ayala quickly captured the next two sets. However, in the fourth, they faced a resurgent Marinerang Pilipina and fought to a 19-16 lead.
After the match was suspended for 20 minutes due to a power interruption, Generika-Ayala pulled off the crucial points to complete the come-from-behind win.
In the other match, the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters earned a 20-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-18 win over the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors./ASC, WDJ
