A total of 348 incoming college students who are eligible for coverage by the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program signed a memorandum of agreement earlier this week at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center in Bacolod City.
Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson congratulated the scholarship recipients and urged them to pursue their studies well.
Meanwhile, Provincial Board Member Agustin Ernesto Bascon, who chairs the Provincial Board Committee on Education, said, through the scholarship, “The provincial government reaffirms its commitment and dedication to the scholars as they intend to bring progress not only [to] the province but to each and every [family] in Negros Occidental.”
Also present for the event were Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Alberto Nellas, Jr.; Executive Assistant to the Governor Charina Magallanes-Tan; Provincial Human Resource Management head, Atty. Annabelle Palic; among others./WDJ
