Two Negrense volleyball players called up for international duty

Two volleyball players from Negros Occidental will suit up for the Philippine women’s volleyball team at the 2019 ASEAN School Games, which begin today in Semarang, Indonesia.
National University’s Shaira Jardio of Talisay City and De La Salle Santiago Zobel’s Angel Canino of Bacolod City will both be representing the country in the competition.
“I am thankful and grateful to be chosen as part of the Philippine team,” said Jardio. “Not everyone [has been] given this opportunity, so, I promised to give my best to help our team win in Indonesia.”
In addition, Camille Lamina of Guimaras also made the squad.
Completing the roster are Mhicaela Belen, Alleiah Malaluan, Alyssa Solomon, Sheena Toring, Jimy Jamili, Erin Pangilinan, Evangeline Alinsug, and Kamille Cal./ASC, WDJ
