Balkman to lead PHL squad

Former NBA player Renaldo Balkman is expected to lead the Mighty Sports-Philippines squad in the 2019 William Jones Cup, which begins today at the Changhua County gymnasium in Taiwan.
Joining the former New York Knicks forward are McKenzie Moore, Eugene Phelps, Zach Graham, Hamady N’Diaye, Roosevelt Adams, Jeremiah Gray, Troy Rike, Jason Brickman, Aaron Black, Joseph Yeo, Gabriel Banal, and Caesar Wongchuking, Jr.
“We have a strong team,” said Mighty Sports head coach Rajko Toroman.
However, he noted, the team did not have enough time to prepare for the competition.
“What we are missing is time to prepare the team,” he added. “We are running out of time but we will do what’s possible to be ready.”
The Philippine side will be competing against teams from Canada, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan./ASC, WDJ
