Property developer Megaworld Corporation is set to open their P350 million transport hub, which will provide the Western Visayas with its first point-to-point (P2P) bus service. Located in front of the Festive Walk Mall at the Iloilo Business Park, the facility will provide two terminals, each equipped with a traveler’s lounge, food park, ticketing booth, among other amenities.
“Hopefully, this will serve as a model for other transport hubs in the region,” said Megaworld estate management head Jose Arnulfo Batac.
Meanwhile, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-Region VI (LTFRB-6) is set to roll-out the facility’s P2P buses today, which will travel between the Iloilo Business Park, Kalibo International Airport, Godofredo P. Ramos Airport (Caticlan Airport), Roxas Airport, and Iloilo International Airport.
“We thank the LTFRB Region-6 for this partnership,” Batac added. “We hope that we are able to contribute to the success of this modernization campaign for the betterment of the country’s transport industry.”/DGB, WDJ
