At least 20 female Fr. Gratian Murray Integrated School students in Bacolod City’s Barangay Granada have been allegedly possessed by an evil spirit. While local media has been barred from entering the school, local residents claim the incidents have been happening since Monday.

In response to the reported spirit possession, classes were suspended and the reportedly affected students, who are said to in Grade 8 and Grade 9, were transported to a local church to undergo exorcisms.

School Principal Dionesio Lindugan said classes were suspended to prevent more students from becoming possessed.

The closure also provides an opportunity for the school premises to be blessed and exorcised.

Two years ago, school officials from Talisay City’s Rafael B. Lacson Memorial National High School announced classes would be canceled for two days, following reports of students being possessed by evil spirits.

According to a report by Bombo Radyo-Bacolod, three Grade 12 students were reportedly possessed in the middle of class. Witnesses reported the students, all female, began speaking in tongues, along with their voices changing.

Reports say the three had to be held down by 10 classmates.

Additionally, witnesses claimed to see small footprints form across the blackboard at the time of the “possession.”/DGB, WDJ
