The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers pulled off a 25-16, 25-14, 25-21 sweep over the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors when the 2019 Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference visited the Natalio Velez Sports and Cultural Center in Silay City last night.
Kalei Mau, Victorinara Galang, and Abigail Maraño led the Cargo Movers, who remain atop the conference standings with a 6-0 record.
The Cargo Mover made their presence felt in the first set with a 12-7 start. Despite Sta. Lucia managing to make it a three-point game, F2 Logistics rallied behind Galang and Maraño for a 23-14 edge.
Both teams traded leads early in the second set before the Cargo Movers surged behind Mau, Galang, and Desiree Cheng to turn a slim 11-10 lead into a 25-14 spread.
Sta. Lucia tried keeping in step with the Cargo Movers in the third set, with the latter on top 21-20; however, F2 Logistics went on to bank on hits by Michelle Morente and errors by Sta. Lucia to clinch the straight set win.
“We have a perfect card so far, but we’re still playing in the eliminations,” said Cargo Movers head coach Ramil de Jesus. “It’s still a long way to go.”
“I told the team to keep on playing hard,” he added. “The playoffs will be a different ballgame so we have to build momentum.”/ASC, WDJ
