Silva leaves Ceres FC

Ceres-Negros FC defender Álvaro Silva recently bid farewell to the Bacolod City-based club.
“The time has come to say goodbye,” he said in a social media post. “Sometimes difficult decisions must be taken and, even though it has not been long, [the fans] have made me feel at home from the first day.”
“I would like to thank everyone who made [it] possible [for] me to play [with] Ceres-Negros FC,” he added. “My gratitude to the coach; ‘the boss;’ all my teammates; staff; and—of course—to the supporters for all their signs of affection.”
Silva remains the only Filipino player to win the AFC Cup when he captured the trophy with Kuwaiti club Qadsia SC in 2014.
Rumors suggest he will transfer to a Thai League 1 club.
Prior to joining Ceres FC, Silva had a stint in La Liga with Málaga CF in the 2004-05 season; along with several seasons in Spain’s Segunda División/ASC, WDJ
