Lacson: Prove yourself if you want to be a regular employee
By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga

Following his inauguration over the weekend, Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday announced they would be laying off over 300 contractual workers and job order employees after their contracts were allowed to expire last Sunday, June 30.
With regard to casual employees assigned to provincial hospitals, he speculated most will be retained “for another three months.”
“They should prove themselves, especially if they want to become regular employees,” the governor added.
Meanwhile, Lacson said another 400 casual workers posted to district hospitals will be retained, along with department heads.
He affirmed there would not be any major shake up among department heads./DGB, WDJ
