Bacolod falls to Navotas in the Maharlika League

Bacolod Master Sardines failed to maintain its second half lead and lost 78-69 to the Navotas Clutch last night in the ongoing Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup at the Blue Eagles Gym in Quezon City.

Despite trailing early in the game, Bacolod eventually pushed to a 41-35 edge at halftime following outside shooting from Jopher Custodio, Louie Medalla, and Nico Paolo Javelona. They went on to lead by as much as 19 points in the third; however, Navotas rallied to take a 66-65 lead and outscored their opponents 13-4 in the final minutes.

While Mark Tallo finished with 18 points for Bacolod, with Javelona  adding 13 and Custodio contributing 10; Allan Evangelista tallied 14 points for the winning side, alongside Francis Munsayac adding 13, Elmer Cabahug – 11, and Ronald Roy – 10./ASC, WDJ
