A robber who was recently released from jail after serving a two-year sentence was arrested anew last Saturday after he allegedly sold illegal drugs at Calong-calong Zone 1 in Bacolod City’s Barangay Singcang-Airport.
Police identified the suspect as 38-year-old Ronald Hilaga, a resident of the said area.
Police Station 8 (PS8) commander, Police Major Charles Gever, said Hilaga was recently released from the Metro Bacolod District Jail in Barangay Handumanan after serving time for robbery hold-up.
Gever said, after Hilaga’s return, residents reported to police that he was allegedly selling illegal drugs, prompting them to organize the buy-bust operation that resulted in his arrest.
Police recovered a total of P13,000 worth of suspected shabu, along with the P200 marked money used by the undercover cops.
Hilaga faces illegal drugs charges and is detained at PS8./DGB, WDJ
