Newcomer Kalei Mau made the difference in the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers’ recent 25-21, 17-25, 27-25, 25-19 win over the Petron Blaze Spikers in the 2019 Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference at the San Juan Arena.
“Malaking bagay ‘yung pagdating sa amin ni Kalei (Mau’s arrival has made a big impact),” said Cargo Movers head coach Ramil de Jesus. “Nakadepensa kami, mayroong go-to-guy ‘yung team (Our team has a go-to in defense).”
Mau unloaded 23 points on 21 attacks, along with two blocks; while Victorinara Galang added a double-double with 18 points and 10 receptions; and Dawn Macandili chipped in 26 digs and 13 receptions.
In the other game, the Cignal HD Spikers served up a 25-12, 25-21, 25-15 sweep over the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters./ASC, WDJ
