Negrense player called up
to PHL volleyball squad

Angel Canino of Bacolod City was recently called up to join the Philippine women’s under-23 volleyball team and will compete in the 2019 Thailand Open Sealect Tuna Championships, which is scheduled to run from July 4 to 10. The Bacolodnon, a former Bacolod Tay Tung High School standout, currently plays for the De La Salle Santiago Zobel School.
Also joining Canino on the squad are Mafe Galanza, Kecelyn Galdones, Ysa Jimenez, Maji Mangulabnan, Rachelle Roldan, Imee Hernandez, Janna Torres, Rossie Rosier, Jewel Encarnacion, Celine Domingo, Ivanna Agudo, Lyann De Guzman, and Justine Jazareno.
Diana Carlos, Maria Lina Molde, and Maristela Layug were earlier called up but were unable to join due to the ongoing Premier Volleyball League./ASC, WDJ
