The PetroGazz Angels recently scored a 29-27, 25-20, 25-24 sweep over the PacificTown-Army Lady Troopers in the ongoing 2019 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna.
Wilma Salas offered up 22 points, including 18 attacks, for PetroGazz; while Janisa Johnson had a triple-double on 21 points, 11 excellent receptions, and 10 excellent digs.
PacificTown-Army pushed the opening set to a 27-all tie before PetroGazz came up with hits from Salas and Johnson for a first set win, who then went on to take an early edge in the second to take a 2-0 lead.
In the third, PacificTown-Army took an early lead before Salas and Johnson secured the win for PetroGazz.
In the other match, BanKo Perlas Spikers came back from two sets down to earn a 19-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 17-15 win over the Motolite Power Builders./ASC, WDJ
