Petron sweeps Marinerang Pilipina

The Petron Blaze Spikers scored a 25-21, 25-16, 25-10 sweep over the Marinerang Pilipina Lady Skippers last Thursday night in the 2019 Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference at the Imus City Sports Complex.
Ilongga hitter Aiza Maizo-Pontillas led the win with 15 points on 12 attacks and three blocks; while Mika Reyes added 10 markers on five attacks, three blocks, and two service aces; Negrense hitter Bernadeth Pons scored nine markers; Cherry Rondina supplied eight points; and Rhea Dimaculangan delivered 20 excellent sets and four aces.
“I’m happy because we won our first game but this is just the start,” said Petron head coach Ceseal Delos Santos. “We need to step up since we will be facing contenders next week.”/ASC, WDJ
