Ayala over Marinerang Pilipina

The Generika-Ayala Lifesavers scored a 25-18, 25-15, 25-23 sweep over the Marinerang Pilipina Skippers earlier this week in the ongoing 2019 Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference at the San Juan Arena.
Outside hitter Patty Jane Orendain of Bacolod City led Generika-Ayala by delivering an all-around performance scoring 18 points on 15 attacks, a pair of aces, a block, 16 digs, and eight excellent receptions.
Generika-Ayala easily took the first two sets and looked poised to take the third after leading 23-16 off a Mean Mendrez attack; however, Dimdim Pacres and Chiara Permentilla led Marinerang Pilipina on a 7-1 run, pulling the match to a one-point game before Fiola Mae Ceballos secured the win.
“This win is a huge help for us, especially the morale of the team,” said Generika-Ayala head coach Sherwin Meneses. “I’m glad that we managed to recover from our first game loss.”/ASC, WDJ
