F2 Logistics, Sta. Lucia score wins in the SuperLiga opener

The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers and the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors opened the 2019 Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference over the weekend at the San Juan Arena with victories. F2 Logistics scored a 25-12, 25-21, 25-17 win over the Generika-Ayala Lifesavers; while Sta. Lucia earned a 25-23, 25-22, 25-23 victory over the Marinerang Pilipina Skippers.
Ilongga player Abigail Maraño delivered 15 points off nine spikes, five blocks, and a service ace for F2 Logistics, while Victorinara Galang had a double-double with 11 points and 11 digs.
After winning the first set easily, F2 Logistics faced a tight battle in the second set. They held on to a 19-18 edge before Maraño and Galang secured a two-set lead.
In the third set, F2 Logistics pulled ahead to an 18-11 lead before Generika-Ayala turned into a three-point game. The eventual winners then closed the match with back-to-back hits by Ilongga players Aduke Ogunsaya.
Meanwhile, Marjana Philips tallied 22 points and 16 digs for Sta. Lucia in their win, while Pamela Lastimosa and Amanda Villanueva each added 11 points, and Rachel Austero scored 10./ASC, WDJ
