The Creamline Cool Smashers scored a 25-12, 25-19, 25-16 sweep over the BanKo Perlas Spikers in the ongoing 2019 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference last Saturday at the University of San Agustin gym in Iloilo City.
Creamline imposed its dominance over BanKo Perlas in the opening set, quickly taking a 16-8 edge. They went on to maintain an 18-11 edge before Kuttika Kaewpin and Alyssa Valdez made it a double-digit advantage.
In the second set, the match tightened, with Creamline taking a 16-12 on a Michelle Gumabao hit. While BanKo Perlas reduced their deficit to 19-17, late hits from Valdez and Kaewpin allowed Creamline to take a two set edge.
BanKo Perlas tried keeping it a close fight in the third but Creamline rallied to a 16-7 lead and managed to maintain the advantage through shots from Kaewpin and Valdez./ASC, WDJ
